Festival Honors Vietnamese Revolutionary Press Day

A festival honoring Viet nam Revolutionary Press Day, June 21, will be held at the Ho chi minh city Youth Cultural House on Saturday.


The festival will include a discussion between reporters and businessmen from 9:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. and an exhibit of press achievements. The presentation ceremony for the HCMC Press Awards will be held and pop stars Phuong Thanh, Thanh Thao, Quang Linh, and Hien Thuc will give a musical performance at 8 p.m.

The event will honor the city’s 2,000 newspaper venders, who have made outstanding contribution in bringing news to readers.

The program will award scholarships to disadvantaged students. There will be football games, journalists singing, and journalists cooking with artists.
