Can Tho Hosts Mekong Fruit Festival - Mekong Delta Fruit Festival 2008
The Mekong Delta Fruit Festival 2008 is being held at My Khanh tourist village in Phong Dien district, Can tho city from now until June 2.
The fruit festival is one of the numerous activities held as part of the 2008 Mekong - Can tho National Tourism Year.
The festival includes 50 display booths and features various types of fruit, ornamental plants, and handicrafts.
The event is expected to attract around 250 fruit-processing companies, farmers, and dealers, as well as more than 30,000 visitors.
The festival allows visitors to participate in a wide range of activities such as boat races, folk games, and food fairs and a competition to arrange fruit to resemble animal shapes.
