Two Vietnamese painters, Nguyen Thanh Nhan and Truong Quang Toan, entered the finals of the second International Manga Awards in Japan.
According to the Japanese Consulate General in Hcm city the contest took place from December 2007 to February 2008, attracting painters from around the world.
Vietnam’s Truong Quang Toan (51) and Nguyen Thanh Nhan (18) are among painters from 11 countries who enter the final round.
Toan is a painter for the Kim Dong Publishing House while Nhan is a painter at Phan Thi Company. Nhan began drawing cartoons at the age of 14.
The final round will be held later in July.
